So I realized I hadn't really posted on my blog my baby belly pics so here they are my baby bump is slowly getting there! I am almost 34 weeks now! About 6 more to go! I am definitely feeling ready this kiddo inside me is super strong and constantly kicks my rib really hard. I can definitely tell I am at the end because I can barely get to my feet and everything is uncomfortable and my hips are always hurting and I toss and turn all night. But it is all completely worth it to have this sweet little boy in my life! A little over a week and then its my baby shower. I am excited to get more stuff for him because I am definitely wanted to nest but can't really do that with out the baby stuff.

2011 Flashback

2011 has been a great year of changes and excitement.
Here is a little flashback of what went on
January- The year started out rough with the passing of my Grandpa Ron then Madi and I paid a visit to all our wonderful family out in Arizona, Joe started the school semester
February- Not much happened I guess lol I can't remember.
March- Joe turned 26
April- Joe and I had our 4 year anniversary and Madi turned 2.
May- Joe and I moved to the apartments we are in now
June- We visited our best friends out in Chicago
July- I turned 26 and we found out we were going to have another baby
August- Started and stopped potty training Madi, Joe started school again
September- Went to Joe's uncle in Eminence, MO and had a float trip
October- Started to potty train Madi with success this time! Found out we are having a boy this time around
November- Had our first Thanksgiving at our place
December- Joe finished up the semester ate lots of good food and celebrated the holidays Uncle Cole and Grandma and Grandpa Rich came to visit.

2012 I can tell had a lot of great things to offer us and I am ready for it especially in March when we welcome our baby boy to our family. Happy New year everyone I hope it will be great!

Christmas dinner we set up my Mom's fine China we really only get it out once or twice a year!

Christmas this year was great! We had my Grandma and Grandpa Rich and my Uncle Cole come in town. We only get to see them about once or twice a year which is just not enough. We ate tons of good food visited played games (scrabble mostly). Ate some more LOL. Watched RIO entirely too many times. It was great. Since I can remember we have always spent Christmas Eve with my Grandma (my mom's mom) and Grandpa Rich and then Christmas with my Grandpa Ron (my Mom's dad). This year in January my Grandpa Ron passed away and unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the funeral. So this year at Christmas it really hit me that he wasn't here anymore. I guess it became a reality. RIP Grandpa Ron you are missed. I will miss your jokes and your giving us Cashews every year for Christmas and McDonald's gift certificates.

I am very excited as to what this new year has to bring for me and my little family. I am getting super excited/nervous to have this baby boy join our family. I am almost 30 weeks along only 10 more to go its going to fly by. Bring it on 2012 I am ready for whatever you have to offer me. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and will have a great New year!

Spooktacular

This year we took Madi to Spooktacular it is an event that they have at the zoo here in Springfield every year. I remember going when I was little. We had lots of fun and went with Madi's cousins and Uncle Mark. Pretty much most of the animals are put away and it just lots of decorations and candy being passed out. Madi loved it. It wasn't too cold as well.

14 weeks pregnant, potty training and Kidney stones

Well I had my doctors appointment on Wednesday and the baby is doing great got to hear the heartbeat which is always an amazing comforting thing to know that little one is thriving. We have our Ultrasound date set for October 12th and we are so excited to find out what we are having. If you know me well enough you know I am a planner and already feel like I should have everything ready and set up for the baby. I haven't posted a baby bump picture mostly because I am not really showing yet. I didn't really start showing until about 20 or so weeks with Madi, Not sure Madi has fully grasped the fact that we are going to be having a baby yet . When we ask her if she wants a sister or a brother she ALWAYS says sister!
Madi is doing well she is definitely a 2 year old and very stubborn like her parents. She is a very independent kid which isn't necessarily a bad thing just sometimes frustrating. She now has all 20 of her teeth she finally cut her 2 year old molars on the top! We at the end of week 2 of potty training and she is doing well for the most part lately most of her accidents are #2's. Hopefully she will be fully potty trained by Christmas! She is such a little Mommy she puts her baby dolls in time outs and down for naps and feeds them. She will such a great helper when this next little one comes along.
Okay so about the part of the title that says kidney stones... All this week I have had random pains in my back. I thought maybe I had a UTI but doc said nope. Well last night just all of the sudden at about 7:30 I was in so much pain it just got worse and worse and I was doubled over in pain and crying. So I called my doctor and they said to go into the ER. So we called my parents (by this time it is 8:30pm) and had them come over and be at the house while Madi was sleeping. Before we left my Dad and Joe gave me a blessing the second they laid their hands on my head I immediately felt relief I was still in pain but not excruciating pain. I love that I have worthy priesthood holders in my life. The Lord truly helped me get through the pain last night! So off we went to the ER. They took me back did my vitals, got a urine sample started an IV and took some blood and then sent us back to the waiting room until the results came in. At about 10pm they took us back to a room and had me change into those oh so stylish gowns. My urine test showed there was blood in my urine. They did some feeling around on my kidney and they were 99% sure I had a stone. Unfortunately with being pregnant they couldn't confirm that because they couldn't do and xray or CT scan. gave me some morphine to take the edge off of the pain. Talked to my urologist and decided they were going to prescribe me some pain meds and send me home with a pee strainer and watch for a stone. So off we went to the Walgreens to get my pain meds and we got home about midnight. Shortly after we got home and my parents left I had to use the restroom had the little strainer thingy and there it was the evil little thing we like to call a kidney stone. So I passed it and am feeling much better. My kidney is still very sore and I am tired I will definitely be napping while Madi is today! Hopefully that will be my only other stone I ever have!

Baby #2 and updates on us

I had my 1st doctors appointment yesterday for baby #2. Only good news to report. I have lost weight (which I did with Madi as well) 10 lbs. so far! The doctor decided since I was 10 weeks along to try and see if he could hear the heartbeat (normally you may not be able to until 11-12 weeks). Guess what he was able to hear the heartbeat! That was just what I needed for some relief of miscarrying. I will be so much better once I make it past the 1st trimester. For those of you who don't know I miscarried twice before Madison once at 8 weeks and another at 12 weeks. I feel pretty hopeful with this one though! I'm an pretty sure I felt the baby move yesterday as well. Is it in my imagination??? What is the earliest you felt your baby move????
Well here is a little update on Madison. She is in full fledged temper tantrum mode when she doesn't get what she wants. She repeats EVERYTHING we say so we have to watch what we say or watch on tv because she is such a sponge. She is very active. Sings all day long especially the alphabet. She loves to dance and loves everyone to dance with her so if the music is on I hear "Momma dance!" or "Dadda dance!" She loves to watch movies and her favorite tv shows some of her current favorites are; Phineas and Ferb, Cinderella, Peter Pan, Blues Clues, The Chipmunks adventure, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She is such a little Mommy and will be a great helper when her little brother or sister comes. She rocks her baby dolls and puts them to bed with a blanky and pillow. Pretends to feed them. She has a great imagination. One of her favorite saying right now that drives me crazy "I can't (do it, watch that, etc)" IT DRIVES ME CRAZY! But I do love her to death she a blessing in my life.
Joe is getting ready to start school again for the Fall semester. He has 2 more years left of school and we both will be glad when he is finally done. I feel bad because he works full time and goes to school full time. I am trully grateful for my husband he does so much for our family and works so hard. I couldn't ask for a better husband and father. Well I think I rambled on enough so I guess that is all the updates for now until next time.

Clinging to sanity by a thread

Lots of changes happening lately. If you know me well enough you know I do not do well with change. I just don't handle it well I never have since a young age. Joe just started school again which 2 days in I am already hating it so much. Madison is a HANDFUL right now. She wants every second of my attention I have been really trying to break her of that before this next little one comes in March. I am realizing pregnancy is so much harder with a 2 year old. I am tired and exhausted and cranky. Which in turn makes me have 10 times less patience with her. We just seem to battle it out everyday which is so frustrating. I really need to potty train her but I just can't seem to get the motivation to do it. My calling in church has just been too overwhelming for me. I am the "permanent sub" for Sunday school they want me to plan a lesson every week and then just where ever they need me they stick me there. It is really hard to gear the lesson because I don't know what age I am teaching and each class is on different lessons so sometimes they have heard it already and just tone me out. You know how teenagers can be. Not really sure what I am going to do about it but with all my hormones it is too stressful and overwhelming and I am going to have to talk to the bishop or something. Being pregnant in itself is super stressful to me right now because of having Miscarried twice in the past I am so nervous about it happening again. I miss my friends like real friends I miss Shara I can't believe she has been gone now for almost 5 years. Life just seems to stressful right now and I feel like I am hanging onto sanity by a thread. I am praying for patience and peace. Praying for the calm after the storm. I hope it comes soon.

Okay so these are not in order and I can't figure out how to rearrange them. So I sped walked/ran a 5k we kind of did it as a family. My brother who is awesome did the couch to 5k program and has lost a ton of weight and is doing awesome has gotten us started on it. My mom and I are already planning our next one to do together. It was super hot out. Here are some pics from the festivities My mom and mines time was 47min 48 seconds. It was hard but fun. I even puked after I crossed the finish line. (which was super embarrassing)

Girls Getaway

I love my husband so much because he lets me do things like this! Me and some of my besties Melanie and Gail went and spent 3 days in Branson Mo having a getaway. When we 1st got there after checking in to our hotel we went to eat at the Macaroni Grill and walked around the Branson Landing.

Then off to a hot tub we were kind of rebels because our hot tub was closed so we went to another hotels one hehe!

4 years of Marriage

Joe and I decided to have a fun day trip to Branson for our anniversary this year. We found a fun deal with the Hollywood Wax museum it was a package deal we did the wax museum, a mini golf course, and the castle of chaos which is a 5d ride that you kill zombies it was a ton of fun. After we went to our favorite restaurant to eat at in Branson Montana Mikes. Here are some fun pics of our day adventure.

I got invited to go to the Zoo with some ladies from 3rd ward Madi had such a blast and we ended up buying a family pass for the entire year. So we will be spending a lot of time at the zoo this year. Madi has already been asking me to take her to see the monkeys again.

Babysitting

I started babysitting just once a week for some friends of mine. I watch 2 girls their names Are Kinzley and Alyvia they are cousins and it is really nice because Kinzley is 2 and Alyvia will be 2 in July so they are really close in age and Madi has a blast with her friends. It is super cute Madi calls them both by the same name and it Kissy (her attempt to say Kinzley). These pictures are just of Madi and Kinzley. Alyvia was sick that day so I don't have any of her yet.

Mommy Daughter trip to Arizona

Madi and I needed a vacation well mostly me. So we made plans and headed our way to Arizona. I am so grateful for my Grandmother who paid for my flight and almost everything while I was there. She is the best ever! It was January when we went and it was supposed to be warm but it ended up being in the 40's while we were there. I definitely don't mind though because in Missouri they were having a blizzard and was definitely a lot colder. We ate out played at the mall ate some more. I was great just to get to spend time with the family and relax.

This is my Grandpa Rich I love him so much. Madi still to this day talks about him she loves her great papa rich.

My cousin Stephanie and I got to spend some time together as well my sister kind of hogs her when the family is around so it was nice to get some one on one time. We went to this place that was filled with trampolines it was awesome and Madi had a blast.

After jumping we went to lunch at Joe's Farm Grill it was featured on the food network and the tv show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

This is the HUGE jacuzzi tub at my grandma's house and you better believe I spent an hour in there every night I was there!

Grandma and I went to the mall a couple of times with Madi so she could play around and get some energy out of her she had a lot of fun!

It was a great little break from my sometimes very stressful life. It was great seeing the family and I wish I took more pictures while I was there because we also went and visited my Uncle Monte and Aunt Bree who lived about 3 hours away and I got to meet my cousin who are pretty much Madi's age. It was a blast.

Visitng the Beckers St Louis style

Once again we made a visit to the Beckers house. This time they are now living in St. Louis. We always have lots of fun when we visit. We got there Friday the 7th around 5:30pm and the kids immediately started playing while Cassie, Joe and I caught up. Paul got home around 7ish and we ordered Pizza hut for dinner YUM! Plus Cassie made us some really yummy oreo fudge delish! We mostly just visited all night and the boys played call of duty. These are pictures of the kids playing the the bed we were trying to set up for Joe and I.

The next day Paul had to work so Joe, Cassie and I went on an adventure for the day. We decided to go to the science center. It ended up not being very fun for the kids they are doing a lot of changes and construction there and most things were closed and a lot of the things they have now cost money and were definately not cheap! So we decided to leave. It was lunch time and we wanted to wear the kids out so they would nap so we headed to one of the many malls that are in St. Louis. We ate lunch then let the kiddos play (Joe went and looked at the sports store while we stayed with the kids.) This picture is of the kids right before we left the play place in the mall Jeffery is trying to pull Madi around she had one of those backpack/lease things on. I was pretty funny.

After the mall we headed back to the Beckers place to watch some football. Joe is a huge Seahawks fan and they were playing that afternoon. We watched the game then decided to go out for dinner we ate at a Tex-Mex place called Chevy's. Then we came home and put the kiddos to bed and chatted some more while the boys played more Call of Duty. Sunday Cassie made some yummy monkey bread for breakfast and then we had church at 11am which was fun. Then we came home and watched Dispicable Me then Cassie and I am made Chicken Tacos YUM again! Then unfortunately it was time to head home. We really wish the Beckers lived closer we have such a great time with them and it is so great that we have the kids at such a close age. Thanks for being such great hosts Cassie and Paul Becker we miss you guys!

A proposal I couldn't refuse!

A proposal I couldn't refuse happened 4 years ago tonight...

Every year we spend New Years Eve as a family and make a dish called Bana Calda it's an italian dish sort of fondueish style and it is fabulous (just ask Caty and Gabe Aricu they have indulged in this lovely treat!). So new years eve 2006 my boyfriend at the time Joe came over to spend new years with the family. I was at an age where it was kind of feeling lame to spend new years with my parents. So after we had eaten I knew there was a party at some friends house and tried to convince Joe for us to go over there. He said he didn't want to go which I thought was so weird and through out the rest of the night I was trying to still convince him. Okay so now I need to back track and tell some back story here. We were those type that we knew we were getting married we were as we called it engaged to be engaged lol. I knew that he was buying a ring and he told me that he couldn't afford it yet so it would be a couple of paychecks and I had accepted that and moved on. Now the whole week leading up to new year's he would jokingly in random spots like in the middle of walmart drop to one knee and then say just kidding. Which I told him several times was not funny and by the end of the week was getting very irritated... Okay so back to new years so I am trying to convince Joe to go to a party and I was not giving up on it so the poor guy had to act like he wasn't feeling good just so I would give up on it. All night my family is asking so when do you think he will propose (me not knowing they are all in on it and they know when) I was telling them oh it will be a month or so he can't afford the ring yet. Well at midnight we all had our sparkling grape juice and count down to midnight and Joe drops to one knee (and me knowing that he has been jokingly proposing all week) says what are you doing get up. Then from behind his back he pulls out a ring. And says Will you Marry me. I was in complete shock of course because he had me convinced it would be a while but of course I said yes. We were married 3 months later in the St. Louis temple on April 6th, 2007. It was definately a proposal I couldn't refuse and I have not regretted it since. I have the best husband in the whole world I LOVE YOU Joseph Brown!

Most of these next pictures are Madi walking around in someones shoes. She just absolutely LOVES shoes it doesn't matter whose they if you take your shoes off and my place Madi will snatch them up and start walking around in them.

We got this couch for Christmas from Joe's parents we really like it and love having a lot more space to deal with. Our old couch was a huge sectional and it just took up some much room and was really old hand me down. Its kind of fun this is the 1st brand new couch we have ever owned.

Its so crazy to think Christmas is right around the corner. We can't wait! We have Christmas with Joe's side on Sunday the 19th. Then a lot of my family from my side on my Mom's side are flying in from Arizona and we will get to spend a week with them! Lots of stories and pics to come!

My Constant Companion

This lately has been pretty much all you see. Madi is my little shadow and constant companion. It used to be that she would go to Dad when he got home and follow him around and it was great because I could get things done. Now she will hug Dad when he gets home and then continue to follow me around like an eager puppy. I haven't really decided if I love it or not. It really depends on the day. Some days it is super cute and helpful and other days it makes it absolutely impossible to get things done. I guess I should enjoy it while I can because this will pass and I will most likely miss it when she likes Daddy again. I guess it's all part of being a mom.

Primary Program and my class.

I don't know what it is about primary children but they just have such a place in my heart. Yesterday we had our wards primary program and I of course was up there since Joe and I are teaching the CTR 7 class. I think I cried threw the entire program their sweet little testimonies just touched my heart. I love/hate being in primary it is a tough but rewarding job especially when you are spending 2 hours with 14-7 to 8 year olds. But honestly I love my class funny enough as it is I taught this class when they were 4 turning 5. Then after that I was in the primary presidency. Then we moved away for a year and a half and now that we are back we got assigned the same kiddos just older. It is amazing to me to see how much they have grown and matured (not by much but some more then others lol). Some who have come out of their shell and are no longer shy. Now they answer questions in class and most of then have been baptized. I just think these kids in this particular class with just always hold a special place in my heart and are teaching me soooo much I love you guys.

They said she is doing really well and was really impressed on how much she is talking already because she is connecting a lot of words together and even a few sentences. It has been a while since I have posted anything on here so here we go.
My baby is growing up she is now 17 months old and definately in the terrible twos already. First of all she is already in 24 month size clothes. She has her 4 front and bottom teeth and is cutting 4 mollars right now. She is saying so many words now (dog, cat, bat, ball, juice, this, that, milk, mom, dad, papa, up, ya, more,bye bye, hi) I am sure there is more I just can't think of them at the moment. Its is nice that she know some words but a lot of the time she still has a hard time communicating what she wants which is frustrating for me as well. She has learned how to climb up on the couch. She can now reach things that are close to the edge of the table or counter (not fun!) Such as the bowl of popcorn I just had popped and it went all over the floor. She is so full of energy all day she LOVES to dance. She really is at a fun age we play peek-a-boo. She tries to tickle you back when you tickle her. She gets time out A LOT because she likes to hit if you tell her no. Needless to say when we put her in the corner she stays there now if we walk away. She loves books but also loves to rip them apart so we are working on that as well. She will be going to nursery in church in 2 weeks and I am SOOOOOOO excited. She is so ready to be in there and I am so ready for her to be in there as well. Joe and I just received a calling in our "new" ward we are going to be teaching the CTR 7 in primary. Joe just started his last semester at OTC he will have his associates and will be transfering to MSU. It will definately be exciting he is really looking forward to taking mostly classes that have to do with his major. He wants to be a High school History teacher and hopefully coach football or something like that. Of course football season has started so needles to say between school, work, and football I don't see him much. I am still doing hair out of my home and being a stay at home mommy. We are actually ready to have another little one around so we are trying for another one. So far it hasn't happened yer but we hope we will be pregnant soon. I am really looking forward to the fall and all the fun holidays that come along with it. Check out my photos below.

As we always do we went to go visit our best friends the Beckers over Memorial Day weekend we had so much fun like we always do. Our kids were as the usually are so cute together except Jeffery kept beating up on poor Madi he was pushing her over and pulling her hair but it was cute! They both learned how to give kisses so they were kissing everyone goodnight and well that even included each other so of course we had to get a picture!

It is always a definate must to give them baths together they are so going to hate us when they get older and see these pictures.

As girls went to the Rock Fest in Little Rock it was fun we ate philly cheese steak sandwhiches and got samples and after we went to the mall as well here are some pics

I just can't believe my nieces are growing up this last week I went to Izzy's preschool graduations and Arielle's Kindergarden graduation. They are getting so big and so smart it seems like just yesterday when they were barely walking talking etc. Man time flies by so fast!

This year for the first time in a long time I had my grandma and grandpa here. Plus she was so nice to make all of her great grandkids all cute matching Easter outfits. I was so fun! We did a little Easter egg hunt as well and honestly Madi wasn't into it but she did just turn one so I guess I can't blame her. Maybe next year. Any way here are some pics from that day.

I just finished watching Julie and Julia and felt inspired to blog. That was such a fun movie, it made me go through a lot of emotions. After watching this movie I want to learn to cook and blog more. I wish I had something more to blog about other then my day to day normal rarely changing routine that I have with me and my daughter.
Sometimes I wish I had something amazing and exciting to talk about. Some sort of adventure or journey. Wouldn't that be amazing? What would my journey be? Do you ever wonder what people will say when they look back on your life? What would the book of my life be like? Is it going to be boring and repetitive? Will people love it and feel inspired? Will people love me or hate me? Did I ever make a difference? Was I a good mother? Was I a good wife? Will people remember me or will am I just a the person they met once upon a time that they barely remeber what my name was?Did I do something great? Was I good at my job?
Well this was just me being me and blabbing so ya there it is.

So I know that this was a long time ago but in January we decided to have a big Turkey Dinner and invite a ton of people over. It was great we had the biggest turn out ever. It was a lot of fun and we could barely move in our small living room. It was also a new experience for me because I made my first turkey ever. It turned out great and I was so proud of myself.

A weekend with the Beckers

This last weekend we had the opportunity to go to Joplin to visit our friends Cassie and Paul Becker and they have a little boy Jeffery who is 3 days younger then Madi. We have so much fun when we visit them the boys watched football and us girls just hung out and talked and cooked. We had lots of good food burgers, hotdogs, chili, and a big breakfast of eggs hashbrowns sausage and bacon. While we were there Madis first two teeth broke threw the front bottom two yay its about time she get some teeth Jeffery already is on 5 and 6. Well here are some fun pics from the weekend of the kiddos.

My 9 month old little terror

Well time has flown by just like I was told it was going to. My little Madi is so smart and growing up so fast and I don't like it. Well this is what her stats were at her 9 month checkup
weight: 21 lbs 4 ounces
length: 28 inches
head circumference: 18 inches

She is my little chunker. She has got an attitude like you wouldn't believe. She throws fits already I am so going to have my hands full she will throw her head forward and then back and then kick her legs all while screaming. I asked my Mom was I like this when I was her age and she said definately so I guess I am just getting my payback now. She is a standing machine she does it like a pro she doesn't have to hold onto anything and and wants to stand all day long. She cruises all along anything that she can use to get her to where she wants to go. She is now a really fast crawler and is getting into everything in other words I have been chasing after her all the time and trying to child proof like crazy. Madi's First Christmas

Christmas just always seems to be a little bit more special when we have a little one to spend it with. Madi wasn't really to interested in opening her presents but she loved ripping the bows off of all the presents. She got tons of great gifts. She got several outfits pjs and new socks, blocks, a laughing peguin, a train that moves and spins balls, a learn and groove musical table, a book, and sesame street lets make music DVD. Joe and I we blessed as well with many wonderful gifts from our friends and family. Joe got a Seattle Seahawks jersey hat tie and belt buckle, the games Left for Dead 2 and Assasins Creed 2, a gamer chair, and a Football. I got a Salon cart, a medium size pot, Mini Crock pot, gift cards to Nakatos (Joe and I both got one of these!) and Cold Stone, and an awesome digital camera. Also we got a rocker recliner but we have had that for several months Joes parents gave it to us as and early Christmas gift shortly after Madi was born.

The Year 2009 flew by I guess time goes by faster when you have a child. My greatest blessing of the year was bringing to this world my precious baby Madison. We are trully blessed with great family and friends that love and support us. We had such a great year and we hope that you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Madi is getting into Everything now! She is "crawling" its more like an army crawl on her elbows its so cute she is getting pretty good and fast at it. She also pulls herself up on things and can stand without holding onto anything for about 5-6 seconds. She will be walking before we know it guess I really need to get to baby proofing the apartment. She also gibber jabbers all day she mostly says "Dadda, Papa, Baba and Mama" its pretty cute.

Our Mini Vacation to Arizona

We recently took a little trip to Arizona. It was a lot of fun we visited my Grandparents and my Aunt and I also got to see you Cousin Merdith. While we were there Joe and I went with my Aunt Char to the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks game. Which Joe loves the Seahawks so we got all decked out.

Family Tradition/Bath time/Feedings

Ever since I can remember when it became October some time before Halloween my family would get together and make these halloween cookies. So today we made them at my parents house after family dinner. It brought back a lot of fun memories of when I was little and all our past halloweens. It also made me think of the future halloweens to come. I hope that I will continue this tradition with my family and that they will have fond memories of this too.

This is a cute onsie that Grandma Crosby brought back from Disney world for Madi to wear we love it! I am pretty excited for Halloween this year Grandma Crosby bought Madi her halloween costume as well she is going to be a lady bug I am super excited to put pictures up of her in her costume!

Madi is doing really well with her sitting up so we decided to sit her up in the bath and give her a few toys to play with. She had a blast she was laughing and splashing she didn't want to get out of the bath it was so cute and so much fun to watch.

Madi lately has decided that while she is eating she also needs to eat her feet aka made a huge mess all over herself for Mommy to clean up. I definately need to break her of that fast!

Madi is 6 months old

Madi is now 6 months old and is a lot of fun most the time. She is pretty much sitting up with no support for long periods of time. She is really gibber jabbering a lot she likes to yell at me in a jibber jabber its pretty fun and she smiles and squeals a lot! She is a rolly polly she is rolling all over the place. Which means Mommy is quickly learning what needs to be put up and away and child proofing the house. Well this picture below is the mess that Madi made I was holding her and making a bottle and Madi has to have her hands on everything and she grabbed the formula tin and knocked it off the counter and spilt it everywhere.

Well Madi had her 6 month check up today and these are her stats

she is 27 inches long

she weighs 18 lbs 3 ounces

her head is 17 1/4 inches around

Her doctor says she doing really well and she is pretty much in the 90th percentile in everything. We love her she is a lot of fun and definately keeps me on my toes. I can't even believe that she is 6 months old already it has flown by so fast before I know it she will be crawling talking walking but hopefully it doesn't come too fast!

Madi is starting to get to be so big she is now 5 months old and growing up so fast on me. She has had some of her 1st foods. So far she has had green beans, squash, sweet peas and carrots. This is such a fun age I think. She recognizes her name now and really tries to talk she just gibber gabbers all day which can be fun and sometimes annoying. When she doesn't get what she wants she kind of yells/screeches at me which of course I don't like too much I will definately have to get that habit stopped soon! She is starting to stay sitting up if you sit her up if she leans too far to one side of the other then she will flop over but she is really getting the hand of it. I love my daughter she is a lot of fun and a lot of work. I'm glad that there is only one right now it will definately be an adjustment when we decide to have another one.

Our Trip to Joplin

This last weekend we took a trip down to Joplin to visit our good friends Cassie and Paul Becker (and Jeffery). We really miss having them around! We had a lot of fun Paul decided (as he says) he needed to pop Joe's pro football game cherry. Joe has never been to a pro game and it just so happened that his favorite team the Seattle Seahawks were coming to Kansas City to play the Chiefs in a preseason game. Here are some pictures of the boys leaving for Kansas City with the babies decked out in their Seahawk onsies that Joe bought.

Madi and Jeffery really enjoyed each other on the trip us girls and Jeffery hung out while the boys were at the game and watched 17 Again, Confessions of a Shopaholic. We ate at a Mexican restaurant and then made a very yummy dessert called Chocolate Peanut Butter Bars.

We even couldn't resist and bathed the babies together it was super cute. Jeffery and Madi will probably curse us some day when for it but it was fun!

We always have such a great time with Cassie and Paul they are such great friend and great host. We love you guys thanks for having us over!

I finally jumped on the bandwagon and created a blog

Ok so my friend Cassie has been bugging me forever to create a blog so I finally did. There isn't much to it yet but there will be more when I get the hang of this stuff.

Well Madi is almost 5 months old now she is a great joy and a little booger. She is a cutie she is almost sitting up on her own but if she leans to a side she flops right over. She loves to smile and laugh and especially loves to grab her feet. She definately has a lot of Crosby genes she has our big thighs poor thing. She loves it when I sing songs that has actions to it like The Itsy Bitsy Spider. She is a standing queen. Lucky for me Madi now takes a nap during the day for 2-3 hours but mostly she is very active and wants 100% of my ations 100% of the time. She is a major Daddy's girl which they say happens with girls so i'm not too suprised but just wish she got as excited about when she sees Momma and when she sees Dadda.
